Upcoming Advisories

inland empire - orange county LINE

August 3 to August 7

From Monday, August 3, to Friday, August 7, 2026, BNSF will complete maintenance and rehabilitation projects that will result in modified service between the San Bernardino-Downtown and Riverside-Downtown stations. Inland Empire-Orange County Line train 801 will begin service at Riverside-Downtown, and train 826 will finish service at Riverside-Downtown. Alternate transportation will not be provided between the Riverside-Downtown and San Bernardino-Downtown.

Safety is foundational at Metrolink, and we are regularly working to ensure the long-term safety and reliability of our system in the communities we serve. We apologize that these necessary infrastructure enhancements sometimes result in the closure of rail lines and understand the inconvenience it causes our riders. We will continue to look for ways to minimize the service impacts of these critical work windows.

Orange County LINE

August 10 to August 14

Metrolink service through San Clemente will be temporarily suspended beginning Monday, August 10, through Friday, August 14. This closure is due to high tides, which create operational challenges that impact on-time performance and service reliability. During this closure, Metrolink Orange County Line trains will originate and terminate at the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Station. There will be no alternate transportation available between Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo and Oceanside during this service suspension.

This may also affect Amtrak Pacific Surfliner service. For service updates, please visit their webpages at Pacific Surfliner

These measures are being put into place due to forecasted high tides that are expected to create operational challenges, significantly affecting on-time performance and service reliability. We apologize for the inconvenience this temporary service disruption may cause and appreciate your patience as we work to minimize the overall effects of next week’s anticipated high tides.
